 Pacing & Progress

-Pacing-

  1. down time with nothing going on (or so it seems)

    • Exploring new ideas

    • Rest

    • Not putting anything new into the world, and just “being”

  2. sprints of intensity

    • Go Time!

    • Getting things done.

    • Reset

-Progress-

  1. saying No when you want to say Yes

    • Good vs. God ideas- you have a creative brain that takes a lot in all the time, it is going to come up with ideas that are pretty great, but it doesn't mean they are ideas to move on, especially when it distracts you from the current mission you're on.

    • saying no:

      • to people who bring you down,

      • to the idea that you'll sleep when you die,

      • to striving that turns into exhaustion

      • to having something planned every evening

  2. saying Yes when you want to say No

    • when you grow, it feels uncomfortable.

    • saying yes:

      • to meeting new people 

      • to attending the event where you won't know anyone

      • to sending another email to the when you don't think they’ll respond

      • to going for that walk, when you promised yourself you'd move one hour a day intentionally

      • to your kid when she asks you to play the same super lame ninja game, because you want to connect with her, so you do it
